At watchX, we continuously strive to refine and perfect every aspect of our product. One of the most significant improvements in our latest production batch has been the development and fine-tuning of our stainless steel buttons.

Crafting the Perfect Button

Rather than opting for off-the-shelf solutions, we decided to manufacture our buttons from stainless steel rods, ensuring durability, a premium feel, and a consistent aesthetic that aligns with watchX’s design philosophy. This decision, while rewarding, presented numerous engineering challenges—primarily in achieving the perfect tolerances.

Precision Matters: Tolerance Adjustments

Ensuring the right balance between fit, movement, and tactile feedback required countless adjustments to the manufacturing tolerances. Even the slightest deviation in diameter or depth could result in buttons that were too loose, too stiff, or misaligned. We rigorously tested different tolerance levels, iterating multiple times to find the sweet spot where the button press felt satisfying yet remained structurally robust.

The Result: Beautiful Design, Excellent Feedback

After extensive testing and fine-tuning, we are thrilled with the outcome. The buttons feel incredibly satisfying to press, offering a crisp, tactile response that enhances the user experience. Additionally, the clean, brushed stainless steel finish elevates the watchX’s aesthetics, making it both visually appealing and functionally superior.
